We began assembling under the guidance of long-time Democrat and activist, Fred Brooks, in late 2005. We worked tirelessly to establish a membership base, constitution and recognition by the New York State Young Democrats and the Young Democrats of America. 

The Broome County Young Democrats goals are to: (1) work as closely as possible with all levels of the Democratic Party; (2) support and elect Democratic candidates to public office; (3) enhance the interest and knowledge of young people in government and political process; (4) train and develop young people for positions of leadership; and (5) increase the role of under-represented people in our Party, government, and society.

Our leadership includes: Mike Kennerknecht, President; Jennifer Royer, Vice President; Tara DeNucci, Secretary; and Megan Kennerknecht, Treasurer.
